District Collector Ankith inspected the Yellandu Market Yard and Repallewada maize procurement centers.
The Collector reviewed the production, storage facilities, and the difficulties being faced by farmers at the procurement centers.
Market Committee Chairman Banoth Rambabu brought to the Collector’s notice the issues related to gunny bags, transportation, and hamali (loading/unloading labor) at the procurement centers.
Bhadradri Kothagudem District Collector Ankith made a surprise inspection of the Yellandu Market Yard and Repallewada procurement centers.
As part of the inspection, the Collector inquired with officials about the major problems being faced at the procurement centers.
The Collector instructed officials to quickly shift the stock to nearby function halls, government buildings, and tribal bhavans for safe storage.
He also inspected the maize stock stored in the market yard warehouses and the maize damaged due to unseasonal rains.
On this occasion, Yellandu Market Committee Chairman Banoth Rambabu explained to the Collector the key problems faced by farmers, especially regarding gunny bags, hamali workers, and transportation facilities.
The Collector assured that the issues would be resolved at the earliest.
During the inspection, Yellandu Society Chairman Metla Krishna, Repallewada Sarpanch Banoth Sharada, local MPDO, MRO, AGRI AD, AO, and other officials participated.
