In Illendu mandal, a fire broke out in a maize field, burning a heap of harvested maize cobs. The fire is suspected to have been caused by unknown persons. The farmers stated that the harvested maize cobs were piled up in the field when the incident occurred. Due to the fire, a large quantity of maize cobs was completely burnt.
Upon receiving information, the fire department reached the spot and brought the flames under control. The affected farmers expressed deep distress over the incident.
