Yellandu, 01 May 2026
Honorable MLA Sri Koram Kanakaiah participated in the celebrations organized by RTC workers expressing happiness over the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) hike.
On this occasion, RTC workers performed a milk abhishekam to the portrait of the Honorable Chief Minister as a mark of gratitude.
The MLA paid tributes to late Shankar Goud, who sacrificed his life for the cause of RTC employees, and prayed for peace to his soul.
Speaking at the event, MLA Kanakaiah said that during the previous BRS government, even after a 51-day strike, RTC workers’ issues were neglected. In contrast, the present people’s government resolved their problems within just two days, crediting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for this achievement.
He expressed happiness in celebrating International Workers’ Day along with RTC workers.
He stated that the Congress Party is the only party that ensures justice to workers, farmers, and weaker sections of society. He appreciated that the Congress Party considers the welfare of RTC workers and their families as its responsibility.
He termed the death of RTC worker Shankar Goud as very unfortunate and noted that during the previous BRS government, around 40–50 workers lost their lives without their demands being resolved.
He extended heartfelt thanks, on behalf of RTC workers from Yellandu Depot, to the Honorable Chief Minister and the Transport Minister for addressing their demands.
He emphasized that the welfare measures taken by the government for RTC workers should be communicated to the public.
