CPI(M) leaders staged a protest in Illandu town demanding the withdrawal of increased petrol and diesel prices, which have become a heavy burden on the common people.
Speaking on the occasion, CPI(M) district leaders criticized both the central and state governments for continuously increasing fuel prices, making it difficult for ordinary people to manage their daily expenses.
They stated that the rise in petrol and diesel prices is directly affecting transportation costs, leading to an increase in the prices of essential commodities. This situation is causing severe hardship for workers, farmers, and the middle class.
The leaders demanded that the government immediately roll back the fuel price hikes and take measures to reduce the financial burden on the public.
They warned that if the government fails to act, they would intensify their protests in the coming days.
Party leaders and activists participated in the protest program.
